bFlex drivers ordered/shipped after Dec 25 2007 come with the new UI-uni firmware that has UIF/UIP and UIB2. UI-uni incorporates all the features of the previous UIF, UIP and UIB2 firmware with the addition of a few new ones. bFlex-V2B (black silkscreen writing) shipping as of 6 June 2008 has 25V input rating.

UI-uni removes the need for the user to decide between various UI's when ordering, since all three ship in the same product. An easy to access menu system allows the use to select the appropriate UI for their application. bFlex drivers come preconfigured with UIB2 as the active UI but the user can easily reconfigure to the UIF or UIP.

Potting Warning:

Areas of the circuitry on bFlex utilize high impedance paths and if potting (not required) is to be utilized, the user must ensure than the compound is non-conductive and non-capacitive otherwise correct operation may be compromised.

UIB2 is a totally new UI optimized for bicycle use with several features new to the UIB2 firmware. The menu system has been totally revamped for easier configuration for the novice. Many avid bicyclists were consulted to arrive at a shortlist of features. The same design team that developed the other TaskLED UI's worked to implement, refine, test and release this latest product.

UIF/UIP/UIB is the traditional firmware release that is still available for customers that require the UIF or UIP operating modes or for those that prefer UIB over UIB2.

V2.04 changed the press timing of the UIB from 1.5/4.5 seconds to 0.7/2 seconds. bFlex drivers shipped after 29 May 07 have this new timing refinement.
